Mind - Muscle Connection for Strongman by Coach Cap

Mind Muscle Connection. You hear the Strength Coaches talk a lot about this, and maybe your team coaches. In brief it means "See it in your mind - Do it in the Yard."

This is something that has been scientifically proven to work. Most Pro Athletes and Olympians do some form of this training.

Basic steps are to do just that - visualize the movement in your head first, especially during warm ups. See yourself completing big lifts - see it done. See the movement - see your breathing - your set up - your muscles that need to fire in order to perform the tire flip or deadlift, etc. Walk yourself through every aspect of the lift. Then RIP IT!

This can also be done just before sleeping, or if you are brave enough - while meditating. It is part of going the extra mile to be the best, biggest, strongest, fastest, smartest athlete you can be.



Yes, yes, I have written about this before. But it is that important. Because I guarantee you that all of your heroes do this!
